The Science Behind GoNano
GoNano's nanosilica is an inorganic material with very high density (99%), synthetically created by precipitation. Its performance comes from pozzolanic reactivity — nanoparticles fill pores and create new chemical bonds.
S1 Reaction — Molecular Bonding
Application triggers a reaction inside each shingle where organic and inorganic materials create new chemical links called S1 particles. These particles enter asphalt pores and move outward, connecting shingles together.
UL Class 4 Impact Resistance
Tested using Underwriters Laboratories impact resistance classifications: a single GoNano treatment elevates Class 1 shingles to Class 3. Two treatments reach Class 4 — the highest rating (2-inch steel ball dropped from 20 feet).
Hydrophobic & Self-Cleaning
